Requirement Details & Guidance

NET-002-R010 · NET-002
Why This Requirement Exists

Supports segmentation zones, firewall rules, traffic controls, critical-asset isolation by ensuring that segmentation continuous improvement is governed and implemented consistently, reducing unauthorized access, network attack exposure, service disruption, and security control gaps.

Implementation Guidance

Document the required control objective and scope; assign an accountable owner; define approved standards and configurations; implement the control across applicable network environments; integrate it with monitoring and change management; retain evidence; and review effectiveness periodically. For segmentation continuous improvement, define and enforce the required security boundaries and segmentation.
